The DPF regeneration process is a method used to remove accumulated soot and other particles from the Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF). The process involves raising the temperature of the exhaust gases to at least 600°C, which allows for the stored particles to burn away. This helps keep the air cleaner and meet environmental standards. It doesn't prompt you that your filter is full, you just need to see the DPF % is maxed out, navigate to the OCR screen and follow the prompts to finish the process. You can have auto regen checked off and it will still auto regen, or you can navigate to the OCR screen and manually do it.
To regen the engine needs to rev and be hot so driving regularly on motorways or fast A roads will see it regening fine. Doing school runs and sitting idling a lot with 5 mile runs daily will see DPF clogging up. Its not really necessary to force a regen on a properly driven car.
In short, the only way to achieve this is to have a scanner that allows you to force one? It's the only answer I've come across. In the long term I'm going to put a electronic cutoff within the canister cleverly hidden to bypass the dpf and use my software that's on its way to disable the def system, but in the meantime is my only option a

They will also show you your soot loading so you know when a regeneration is starting and when it has completed. "Aut viam inveniam aut faciam".
The length of regeneration is usually reduced if a constant speed above 30 MPH (48 Km/h) is maintained. The following is a list of normal operation while the vehicle is in regeneration, and do not require repair. If you are not sure if the vehicle is in regeneration, IDS can be used to monitor the Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF) PID.
This service can force the regeneration of the DPF, which will help you to reduce emissions. If you are having trouble with the regeneration, call a mechanic for assistance. Most of these vehicles have automatic DPF regeneration, but you can also manually force the process with the use of a manual device.

Hi Rik. I think when you have a red light, you have to get a forced regeneration at a garage. Doesn't your handbook explain what to do, what i'm led to believe is if you have a yellow light you can go for a 20/30 minute drive after the engine is up to normal temperature (ie a Hot engine ) to get a complete regeneration. When a Regeneration is starting with my car I find that the the engine Here are three key takeaways from that series: Watch out for oil consumption. The DPF collects upwards of 98% of particulate matter emissions in the form of ash, which is comprised of metallic
