Reddit 's largest subreddit dedicated to The Last of Us Part II has completely turned against the PS4 -exclusive sequel, and its users have hated the game for numerous reasons for a while. Normally, subreddits dedicated to and named for a single game are echo chambers of praise and optimism leading up to that title's launch and thereafter.
The gameplay is really good if you loved the gameplay in TLOU since its just a beefed up version of it. Graphics are top notch, the scenery is amazing. I am not enjoying the story too much. This game subverts our expectations twice. First when Joel brutally dies in the beginning because it caught us off guard, it was very early, and it was very brutal. But even with this we knew where the game was going. It became a revenge game, we were ready to take control of Ellie and go on a killing spree ending with us hopefully murdering Abby.

And its for those reasons that I can state I have never played a game as bad as the last of us part 2, and I do not think I ever will ever play a worse game, because to suck harder than TLoU2, you'd need a 10/10 GotY that is founded on a solid story to be released, then have a sequel released that undermined and corroded the original story
