To be fair, anyone looking at buying an E36 M3 probably doesn't have the money for a MKIV, NSX, or 911 of any variety. They're entirely different levels of car ownership. E36's are already going up in price. A few years ago clean ones were 7k-ish just about everywhere. Anymore, a clean example will fetch 10 or higher if it's low mileage.

"The 1.9 gets the M44 engine from the rest of the E36 range, a good little engine but the OBD-II system makes modifications difficult.
